Every grain of wheat for our Weetabix Original is grown within 50 miles of our factory* in fields that protect natural wildlife, with the help of our Weetabix Growers Group.

Our Strategy: Change for Even Better
We formed the Change for Even Better sustainability strategy to draw together our initiatives and ambitions under a clear vision, supported by four key pillars of action – Sourcing Responsibility, Product Responsibility, Operational Responsibility, Social Responsibility.
The different pillars allow greater representation of departments across our company in the work to deliver our strategy. This adds value and ensures our progress is informed by colleagues with a broad range of perspectives.

Every bowlful of Weetabix Original is:
- 100% wholegrain since 1932
- High in fibre
- Fortified with vitamins & minerals
- Low in sugar & salt
We only source wheat for Weetabix Original from farms within 50 miles* of our mills in Northamptonshire, working closely with our chosen farmers. 
Our relationship with local farmers goes right back to the beginnings of the Weetabix Food Company. Today, we have our Growers Group, a collective of over 150 farmers who are proud to grow the best quality wheat for Weetabix. 
Our high level of environmental welfare means that we want to support our wildlife, by protecting hedgerows, creating habitats for bees and looking after wildflower borders. 
Reducing energy – we generate most of the electricity for our Burton Latimer factory in our on-site power plant. 
Minimising our waste – none of the waste from our factories is sent to landfill and we are working with WRAP to cut our surplus. 
Minimising our packaging – we’re reducing the weight of materials in our packaging. 
Conserving water – in 2020 we’ve reduced water consumption by 20% versus 2015 levels. 
Modernising manufacturing – we’ve invested £30 million to make our factories use less energy and create less emissions.
